This Privacy Policy explains how Rally (“Rally,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Rally mobile app and the cltcourtfinder.com website (together, the “Services”). Rally helps recreational tennis and pickleball players find open courts, log sessions, match with other players, and connect with friends.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Services:

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your real one. You may also use Rally as a guest, which creates a temporary anonymous account with no name or email.
Profile details. Information you choose to add, such as your city, preferred sport, skill level, and a profile photo.
Activity data. Sessions you log (including date, duration, and score), your skill rating and rating history, your matchmaking entries and pairings, and your friends and friend requests.
Messages. Messages you send to other players through in-app matchmaking and coordination features.
Location. With your permission, we use your device’s location while you are using the app to show nearby courts and sort them by distance. We use it in real time and do not continuously track you or keep a history of where you go.
Camera and photos. With your permission, we access your camera or photo library only for the image you choose as your profile photo.
Contacts. If you choose to invite friends, we read contacts on your device to show a list you can text an invite to. Your contacts are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can send you match, message, and availability alerts.
Website analytics. The cltcourtfinder.com website uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics) that do not use cookies or track you across other sites.

How we use information

Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
Show court availability, run matchmaking, and calculate skill ratings.
Let you connect with friends and show your activity to the people you’ve connected with.
Send notifications you’ve asked for.
Maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

How information is shared

Your session history and activity feed are visible only to friends you connect with on Rally. Beyond that, we share information only with service providers that help us run the Services:

Supabase — our hosting and database provider, which stores your account, profile, and activity data on our behalf.
Apple — for Sign in with Apple and push notification delivery (APNs).
Expo — to deliver push notifications.
Vercel — hosting and aggregate analytics for the cltcourtfinder.com website.

Court availability shown in Rally is sourced from public parks and recreation systems (such as Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation / Active Network). When you choose to reserve a court, Rally opens that provider’s official booking website in a secure in-app browser; any account or payment information you enter there is handled by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Rally is not affiliated with or endorsed by those providers.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Services.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Guest (anonymous) sessions are temporary and their data is removed when the guest session ends. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information as described below.

Your choices and rights

Permissions. You can grant or revoke location, camera, photo, contacts, and notification access at any time in your device Settings.
Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile in the app, or email us to request a copy of your data.
Account deletion. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from within the app: go to Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, sessions, ratings, messages, and friend connections. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Rally is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
